In short: your account is switched off at once and permanently deleted after 7 days, with everything stored on our servers. The calendar on your phone stays. Changed your mind? Write to support@quantix.studio within those 7 days.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Shift Calendar and go to Settings.
  2. Under Account, tap Account and cloud sync.
  3. At the bottom, tap Delete account.
  4. Read Delete your account? and tap Continue.
  5. Enter your password and tap Delete my account, or, if you signed up with Google, tap Confirm with Google.
  6. The app shows Your account will be deleted on and the date.

Delete from the web

No longer have the app, or can't sign in? Enter your account's e-mail address. We send a link to it; open it within 1 hour and confirm on the page it opens. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.

For your privacy, we give the same answer whether or not an account uses the address.

What is deleted, what is kept, and for how long

  • At once: the account is switched off and every phone is signed out.
  • After 7 days: the account is permanently deleted with everything linked to it: your profile, your synced calendar, devices and notification tokens, group memberships, comments, reactions, swaps, notifications, team memberships, schedules, requests, availability and personal pay rules. A Friends group you own passes to another member, or is deleted when nobody is left.
  • Within 30 more days: the nightly backups that still contain the account roll off (14 days on our server, 30 days for the off-site copy).
  • Kept: purchase and subscription records, for as long as accounting and tax law require; entries in a team's change log and announcements you posted in a team, without the link to your account, because they belong to the team's record; our own admin log. Records of e-mails we sent are deleted when they are 90 days old.

Signing in again does not cancel the deletion. To keep your account, write to support@quantix.studio within the 7 days. Deleting the account doesn't cancel a Google Play subscription: cancel it in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. More in the privacy policy.

If you own a team

A team can't be left without an owner. Before you delete your account, open the team's Team settings and either hand it to someone else with Transfer ownership, or delete the team. Until then the app says: You own a team. Transfer it to someone else or delete it in Team settings, then delete your account.

Deleting only some data

  • Calendar entries: change or clear days, shift types and rotations in the app. With cloud sync on, the change reaches our server too.
  • Cloud sync: turn off Back up and sync this calendar in Account and cloud sync to stop sending changes. To have the copy already on our server removed, delete the account or write to us.
  • A comment: open it and choose Delete comment.
  • A Friends group: Leave the group in its settings. The group stops seeing your calendar at once.
  • A team: Leave team. Its shifts leave your calendar.
  • A phone: sign it out under Devices.

The calendar on your phone

Deleting your account doesn't touch the calendar stored on your phone; you can keep using the app without an account. To remove that too, uninstall the app, or clear its data in Android's settings under Apps › Shift Calendar › Storage › Clear storage. Backup files you saved yourself stay where you saved them.
